Service · Custom Projects

Custom projects for clients we already run.

One-off infrastructure and software work for existing managed clients — migrations, network buildouts, hardware procurement, and Virtual CIO strategy, priced and scoped up front.

What counts as a custom project

Migration

Server Migration

On-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud, or a straight hardware refresh. We plan the cutover around your business hours, not ours, and document the environment as we go.

  • On-prem to cloud
  • Cloud to cloud
  • Minimal-downtime cutover
Buildout

Network Design

New office buildouts, infrastructure refreshes, and capacity planning that accounts for where the business is headed, not just where it is today.

  • New office buildouts
  • Infrastructure refresh
  • Capacity planning
Procurement

Hardware Procurement

Vendor-neutral recommendations on servers, workstations, and networking gear, plus lifecycle management so nothing quietly goes end-of-life on you.

  • Vendor-neutral advice
  • Enterprise equipment
  • Lifecycle management
Strategy

IT Consulting & Virtual CIO

Strategy and roadmaps for firms that need a technology plan, not just a help desk. Virtual CIO service is billed monthly, published at $2,000/month on our pricing page.

  • Technology assessment

Why these are project-based, not part of the base plan

Our $150/user/month managed IT plan covers day-to-day support, monitoring, patching, and the core security suite — the work that never stops. A server migration or a new office network design is a different shape of work: it has a start, an end, and a deliverable. We scope and price it separately so you know exactly what a project costs before it starts, instead of it disappearing into an hourly bucket.

How a custom project actually runs

Because we already manage your environment, we’re not starting from zero on discovery. We scope the project against what we already know about your systems, give you a fixed price or a clear monthly rate, and schedule the work around your business — not the other way around. Network design projects start from $7,500. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace deployments start from $5,000. Virtual CIO consulting runs $2,000/month for ongoing strategy rather than a one-time build. Full numbers are on our pricing page.

Vendor-neutral, on purpose

Hardware procurement advice from Limehawk isn’t tied to a reseller agreement. We recommend the equipment that fits your environment and your budget, then manage the lifecycle so nothing goes end-of-life on you without warning. If a project touches infrastructure we already monitor — firewalls, switches, servers — the automation and documentation habits from our incident reports carry straight into the project.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take custom projects from businesses that aren't existing clients?

Custom projects are scoped for businesses already on our managed IT plan. If you're not a client yet, start with a managed IT conversation — most one-off projects turn into ongoing relationships anyway once we know your environment.

How is a custom project priced?

It depends on scope. Network design work starts from $7,500, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace deployments start from $5,000, and Virtual CIO service runs $2,000/month. Every number is published on our pricing page before you commit to anything.

Can you migrate us off an on-prem server without downtime?

We plan every migration around a maintenance window that fits your business, not ours, and we test the cutover before it's final. Zero downtime isn't always realistic, but zero surprise is the standard we hold ourselves to.

What if we already have a network design or a vendor we prefer?

Fine by us. Hardware procurement advice is vendor-neutral — we'll tell you if your preferred gear is a good fit or if it's going to cause problems, and we're not selling a specific brand to hit a quota.

What is Virtual CIO service, exactly?

It's ongoing strategic planning: budget forecasting, technology roadmaps, and vendor management, delivered by the same team that runs your day-to-day IT. It's billed monthly at $2,000/month rather than as a one-time project.

Have a project that doesn't fit the monthly plan?

Fifteen minutes with Corey. Tell us the scope, we'll tell you the price and the timeline — no sales deck.
